Polyclonal antibodies against ChlPK 1 react with three proteins of 34 K, 25 K and 14 K in thylakoids and in PS II particles (Fig. 1, lanes 1 and 2). In PS I particles the 34 K band was barely observed while the 14 K band was absent (Fig.l, lane 3). Purified ChlPK 1 showed mostly a 25 K band with a very weak signal at around 34 K (Fig. 1, lane 4). Our antibody is not monospecific for a control blot without anti ChlPK 1 treatment did not show any band (Fig. 1). However the 25 K band was consistently observed in thylakoids and in subthylakoid particles as well as in purified ChlPK 1, suggesting that ChlPK 1 is homogenously distributed within the thylakoid disk. [Pg.1850]
