A number of systemic drugs that produce photosensitivity have been reported to cause PACD when contacted topically. Theoretically, this might occur with many such agents. The two most frequently reported are the phenothiozines, chlorpromazine hydrochloride (Thorazine) and promethazine (Phener-gan).
