Thin conductor turns

A typical active matrix thin film transistor (AM-TFT) backplane contains one transistor per pixel in a structure having four to six separate layers composed of conductors, dielectrics, and semiconductors. The TFT works as a switch with the on and off states controlling when each pixel can be addressed. Each pixel is connected to the other through the addressing lines, gate line, and data line. More recently the trend in equipment wiring has been for the use of small diameter, 0-25 and 0-4 mm wires, subject to sharp bends over closely spaced tags. Over the last 4 to 5 years attention has turned to the requirements of automatic wiring and cut, strip and wrap applications. The demand has been for tight tolerances to be maintained on tough thin wall insulation while producing controlled adhesion of insulation to conductor wire to ensure satisfactory stripping.
