Ebenfalls unter Entalkylierung verlauft die Bildung von 2-Mercapto-l,3-thiazol (86%) aus 3-(Piperidino-methyl)-2,3-dihydro-l,3-thiazol. Die abgespaltene Piperidinomethyl-Gruppe wird auf ein zweites Molekiil des Eduktes ubertragen1090.
