The twelve principles of green chemistry a reference framework 

In 1998, Anastas and Warner [ANA 98] compiled a list of what they called the 12 principles of green chemistry. They can be transcribed as follows  

5) Thou shall use catalysts rather than stoichiometric reagents. 

7) Thou shall incorporate all material into thy product.
