The predefined function DIMENSION is defined on a subset of the set of all type instances (see Generic types on page 29). The range of DIMENSION is the 2-element set (D2, D3) (see The constants D2, DS on page 24) and for any type instance TI(p1,. .., pN), where pJ denotes the corresponding parameter values of the generic type TI (J=1..N), DIMENSION(TI(p1,. ..pN)) is defined as follows  [Pg.35]

Informally the function DIMENSION computes for any dimensioned type Dy the corresponding dimension feature. [Pg.36]
