The Natural Balance of Heat on Earth

Infrared is the part of the invisible spectrum that consists of longer wavelengths than the red end of the visible spectrum. 

That all objects at room temperature emit infrared radiation is the principle behind infrared photography. An infrared camera is able to record images in the infrared region of the spectrum. 

Many forms of life on Earth are adapted very precisely to the conditions of temperature and moisture under which they have evolved. Although many species can adapt to gradual temperature changes, abrupt changes could send them into extinction.
