The main manifold or trunk line

The trunk line is the pumping route to the various lateral and ancillary lines and should have as large a diameter as possible the largest diameter tubing that can be blown conveniently by a practised amateur glass-blower is ca. 15 mm i.d. (see section 2.3.1). [Pg.39]
