There has in the past been considerable doubt as to which compounds of a particular formula-type actually exist, and further work is still required on, for example, the lower fluorides of 

SF4 SCI4 SeF4 SeCl4 SeBr4 TeF4 TeCU TeBr4 Te C ) 

Sp2 is an unstable species which was studied in a microwave cell but not isolated its structure (Table 16.2) was determined from the moments of inertia of Sp2 and Sp2- Chlorides S Cl2 up to S5CI2, consisting of S chains terminated by Cl atoms, can be prepared from SCI2 and H2S (n = 1,2, 3) and those up to S8CI2 have been made by the reaction
