The Fast Drift GRID

A particle traversing the Fast Drift GRID at 90° will micountc r 7 iiim of (luartz ( G% A o), 1 cm of liquid fluorocarbon (5% Xo ), a small mass in electronics and cables ( 0.5% A o) and vessel support walls ( 1-2% A o), giving a total tliickn( ss of about 12-14%A o. 

A prototype of the Fast Drift GRID is under construction and will be tested later this year.
