The determination of nitrogen in aluminium

Oxidizing fusion in helium discussed in chapter II, section 3.8.2, has been used to determine nitrogen in primary ingot aluminium. 

The procedure is identical to that described in chapter V, section 3.2. (same sample size and treatment before and after irradiation). The graphite discs are replaced by nitrogen standards (AIN). Furthermore, the

The nitrogen content observed was 0.8 /ig/g with a standard deviation of 0.1 ig/g.
