TARGETED DRUG-DELIVERY THERAPY OF TUMORS USING

TARGETED DRUG-DELIVERY THERAPY OF TUMORS USING L.C.M. [Pg.221]

1 LCM reach tumors within minutes after i.v. injection Light- and fluorescence-microscopy data [Pg.222]

2 LCM preferentially interact with tumor cells in vivo Data from confocal laser microscopy [Pg.223]

The distribution of LCM in the brain parenchyma was further analyzed using fluorescently labeled LCM and confocal laser scanning microscopy. As in the case of unlabeled LCM, rats bearing 9L gliosarcoma tumors were injected intravenously (i.e., via tail vein) with diO-LCM and sacrificed 2 min later. The brains were processed as described elsewhere (ref. 531). In this case, [Pg.223]

Longer intervals (up to 1 hr) between the time of diO-LCM injection and sacrificing of the animals did not result in labeling of [Pg.224]
