Tanning powers

Gerbe-theorie, /. theory of tanning, -ver-mbgen, n. tanning power, -versuch, m. tanning experiment or trial. [Pg.179]

Kuroki et al (1999) examined the chemorheology of an epoxy resin with 90 wt.% silica. Gelation was predicted by independence of tan, power-law behaviour in dynamic moduli and GPC. A modified power-law-Arrhenius chemorheology model fitted the data well. [Pg.363]

As a method of avoiding the damage caused by aqueous solutions, an attempt was made to find an aluminium compound which was both soluble in a non-polar solvent and had significant tanning powers. A wide range of compounds was screened and one, an aluminium isopropoxyde derivative chelated with ethyl acetoacetate called, for simplicity, aluminium alkoxide, was found to have the optimum combination of properties. This is used as follows. [Pg.118]

The amount of power factor correction capacitors necessary in order to correct from an initial power factor cos phi ((p) to a target power factor cos i is given by Initial reactive requirement

Fig. 2. SEM images of TaN gate stack with photoresist masks after etching (a) in pure CI2 and (b) CI2/O2. The experiments were performed at a pressure of lOmTorr, source power of 400W, and bias voltage of -200V. Fig. 2. Correspondingly, the parameter 1/8q tends to zero and we can expand the inverse trigonometric function tan 1/8q in the power series... [Pg.101]

A power law h(co) other functions with that property might be invented. The tan S criterion, therefore, might be not unique. However, no other material has yet been found which also obeys tan 5 = constant in the terminal frequency region, and we suggest the continued use of the tan 8 method for detecting LST until a counter example can be found. [Pg.221]

Selected temperature profiles for the reactions represented in Eqs (11.13) and (11.14) are shown in Fig. 11.2. Note that the high tan 5 value of DMSO (0.825) [5] results in extensive heating even at a relatively modest power input of single-mode irradiation. [Pg.387]

The ratio of the power loss to the power output is called the dissipation factor, tan 8. The power loss is zero when the current and voltage are in phase but increases when the phase difference between the alternating potential and the amplitude of the current is 90°. [Pg.80]
