Tambocor (Flecainide acetate). 3M Healtii Care Ltd UK Summary of product characteristics. May 2006. [Pg.258]

Tambocor (Flecainide). 3MPharmaceuticals. US Prescribir infc mation, June 1998. [Pg.258]

Flecainide (Tambocor) and propafenone (Rythmol) are examples of class I-C drags. These drugs have a direct stabilizing action on the myocardium, decreasing the height and rate of rise of cardiac action potentials, thus slowing conduction in all parts of the heart. [Pg.369]

Flecainide, as with other local anesthetics, is used for naturally occurring ventricular arrhythmia. A synonym of this drug is tambocor. [Pg.251]

Dofetilide (Tikosyn) Esmolol (Brevibloc) Flecainide (Tambocor) Ibutilide (Corvert) Mexiletine (Mexitil) Procainamide (Pronestyl,... [Pg.40]

Flecainide (Tambocor) is a fluorinated aromatic hydrocarbon examined initially for its local anesthetic action and subsequently found to have antiarrhythmic effects. Flecainide inhibits the sodium channel, leading to conduction slowing in all parts of the heart, but most notably in the His-Purkinje system and ventricular myocardium. It has relatively minor effects on repolarization. Flecainide also inhibits abnormal auto-maticity. [Pg.180]

Oral control led-release (generic, Norpace CR) 100, 150 capsules Flecainide (generic, Tambocor)... [Pg.296]

IC Prolongs conduction with little Flecainide (Tambocor) (nausea, vomiting,... [Pg.294]

The effects of flecainide (Tambocor) therapy are thought to be attributable to the drug s very long Xrecovery from Na+ channel block, flecainide increased mortality in patients... [Pg.273]
