Taguchi’s approach to experimental

Taguchi s approach consists of identifying the effects of all factors on both the response and on its variability by means of experimental design. Then, since the noise factors cannot be controlled (except possibly during a particular experiment), he would try to minimize their effects. Thus, diminishing the variability of the response is equivalent to removing the effects of uncontrolled factors on the response. This is a considerable advance on the traditional approach, which is to try... [Pg.322]
