Tablet measurement

Measure the mass of one piece of the tablet. Measure 50 mL of room-temperature water (approximately 20°C) into a small cup or beaker. Measure the temperature of the water. [Pg.65]

Load the coating pan for 90% of the determined usable capacity with product (e.g., white placebo tablets). Subsequently add additional 10% of a different product (e.g., colored placebo tablets). Measure the time necessary to achieve a homogenous mixture by visual examination. [Pg.369]

Tablet SF, TS (in MPa), CS or pressure (in MPa), and friability were calculated from the tablet measurements, the compression forces, and the tooling dimensions. Plots of SF versus TS and TS versus CS were generated curves were fitted to the data and the properties at 0.85 SF and at the apex of the TS versus CS profile were determined. Fig. 3.9. Enhancement of transmission Raman signal using a standard dielectric band-pass filter (BF) placed within the laser beam into the proximity of sample. The Raman spectra are those of a standard paracetamol tablet measured with (with band-pass filter) and without (bare) the filter. The spectra are offset for clarity. The acquisition times were 1 s in both cases with a laser power of 250 mW (827 nm). The spectra were detected with an Ocean Optics spectrograph equipped with a detector array cooled to -15° C... Fig. 3.11. Non-invasive Raman spectra of aspirin tablets measured through a white, diffusely scattering 1.3 mm thick plastic container. Conventional Raman and the scaled and subtracted SORS data are shown together with the reference Raman spectra of aspirin and the plastic container. The conventional Raman spectrum is dominated by the Raman signal of the container masking the Raman signal of the aspirin contents. The acquisition time was Is and the laser beam power 250mW (N.A. Macleod, P. Matousek, Emerging non-invasive Raman methods in process control and forensic applications, Pharm. Res. 25, 2205 (2008). Copyright (2008) Springer)... Fig. 3.11. Another example comparing spectra for a pure medicinal measured with a dispersive system and spectra of tablets measured on an FT system is shown in Fig. 7-30. As mentioned earlier, the Raman spectrum of ibuprofen measured in the visible region exhibits a fluorescence background. This interference is eliminated by going to the near-IR region for the measurements. In the... [Pg.356]

Suitable small crystals of 2XeF,AsF, were obtained by sublimation under nitrogen (at atmos.) in sealed quartz AT-ray capillaries. A tablet measuring <01 mm. in any dimension was used for the intensity data. The crystals are monoclinic with unit-cell dimensions a = 16-443, b = 8-678, c = 20-888 A, )S = 90-13°, V = 2799 A -The space group is 12/a, and Z 12 Three-dimensional data, amounting to 1182 non-zero independent reflections, were obtained. Two xenon and one arsenic atoms were located with a three-dimensional Patterson map, and the remaining atomic p>ositions from subsequent electron-density maps. Full-matrix least-squares refinement led to a final conventional R-value of 0-066. [Pg.94]

The wear pattern on punch heads, punch tips, and in die bores may indicate specific problems during tableting. Measuring dimensions of punches and dies is a task which has to be performed frequently and can be carried out computer-aided. Dimensions to be checked are overall length, cup depth, working length, diameters, tip diameter, and die bore dimensions. Use a micrometer. [Pg.3794]

Estradiol valerate The first-order derivative spectra were used for determination of estradiol in tablet. Measurements of derivative were made at 270 nm. The method showed specificity and linearity in the concentration range of 0.20 to 0.40 mg mL-i. 14... [Pg.260]
