A very different looking triangle diagram results when one of the liquids is not completely miscible with either of other two. The diagram at right is for the system aniline-heptane-methylcyclohexane. This is an example of a Type II triangle diagram. [Pg.187]

Several aromatic amines have special names that have also been approved for use by I.U.P.A.C. For example, the amine of benzene is given the name aniline. In the CA system, aniline is named benzenamine. [Pg.460]

Another system aniline C6H5NH2 has also been studied. We found that the vibrational relaxation rates of symmetric and antisymmetric stretching modes of NH2 take in the ps range in good agreement with experiment. [Pg.106]

Type 2. Formation of Two Pairs of Partially Miscible Liquids. Refer to the isotherm, Fig. 2.11. In this case, at the temperature of the plot, both the liquid pairs A-B and A-C are partially miscible, while B dissolves in any proportion in C. The area within the band lying across the triangle represents mixtures which form two liquid layers, the compositions of which are at the ends of the tie lines through the points representing the mixtures as a whole. On this type of diagram there can be no plait point. Typical examples are the systems aniline (4)-n-heptane (R)-methyl cyclohexane (C) (58), and water (il)-chlorobenzene (B)-methyl ethyl ketone (C) (35). [Pg.16]

Alpert et al. (1965) were the first to measure the width of Rayleigh s band in the binary system aniline-fcyclohexane at the critical concentration. They found that the band contracts as the configurative point approaches the critical temperature 7. A direct proportionality of Aw vs vias also found. [Pg.193]

The Fenton s reagent is not as close to model hydroxylases as the other systems. Aniline and p-cresol are oxidized to condensed products by the peroxidase-peroxide system and by Fenton s reagent, whereas the other hydroxylating systems form only simple hydroxylated derivatives. This means that no free radicals of °OH are formed under those circumstances. [Pg.392]
