Suspension drying

Spray time for 448 g suspension Drying time after coating (45 °C). [Pg.369]

The composite electrode was prepared from 100x4x6 graphite rods. Lanthanum carbonate was applied to the rod surface from aqueous suspension, dried at room temperature, mounted into a reactor (Fig. 1) and kept for 8-10 h in residual gas (10 2 Pa) and helium under DC of 50-70 A. To perform arc discharge process helium pressure, voltage and DC were maintained within the ranges of 2 104-3 104 Pa, 20-25 V and 100-150 A, respectively. [Pg.830]

The clay was pretreated with MMAO MMAO suspension dried under vacuum thus obtaining a silicate-supported MMAO cocatalyst (DM). Then the Fe" precatalyst suspended in toluene was added to the DM intermediate suspension to preform in situ a layered silicate-immobilized catalyst (DMA/DMB). Homogeneous A and B pristine iron complexes used are both intensely blue colored, after reaction with DM intermediates the color immediately changed to deep, bright orange, as after reaction with MMAO. The intermediates were thoroughly investigated by elemental analysis, TGA, TGA-FTIR, WAXD, and pyrolysis (Table 6.2)P... [Pg.194]

Mass transfer between gas and particles affects gas-solids contact efficiencies in CFB risers. The mass transfer from a single particle to the suspension in CFB risers has been studied based on the sublimation of naphthalene spheres (Haider and Basu, 1988 Li et al., 1998), dehydration of 2-propanol (Masai et al., 1985), adsorption of CCI4, naphthalene, H2S, and NO (Kwauk et al., 1986 van der Ham et al., 1991, 1993 Vollert and Werther, 1994), and heat transfer between a heat pulse and suspension (Dry et al., 1987). For one-dimensional steady-state plug flow of the gas, a mass balance of the adsorbed species in a differential volume element of the reactor (Kwauk et al., 1986 Vollert and Werther, 1994) yields... [Pg.528]
