As Series Editor, I thank Bernard, Gideon, Craig and Simon for the considerable time and effort that they put into the preparation and organization of this volume. I also thank the many authors who contributed to this volume for their timely thoroughness during the preparation and review process. And, as always, I thank my infinitely patient and supportive family, Kevin, Ethan and Natalie. 

Lack of social supports (family, friends, or professionals)... 

Wholesome Sweeteners This company tries to work with fair trade—certified farm cooperatives whenever possible, which means the small farms are paid fairly and directly. This helps support families, farmers, and the local community. The company also recycles fuel to generate electricity for its mill and nearby villages. Its sugar is organic and hand-cultivated. You can even go on the Web site to find the farm that sourced your sweetener. 

The EZ-Track system collects data on cycle times, cycle/part counts, and number of rejects, and it uses this data as the foundation to perform powerful scheduling tasks. The EZ-Track scheduler can check for mold conflicts and machine feasibility and highlight any problems, as well as continuously update estimates of job completion times based on actual cycle time, downtime, rejects, and cavitation. In addition, the scheduler also supports family molds. 

The modern model generally relies on feed brought in from surrounding areas because the large number of animals housed in one location cannot be supported by the available local feed. This model does support family farms, in that they often purchase their feeds from small farmers. The dairy itself must meet GRADE A and IMS requirements. 

There is no cure for Alzheimer s disease. Historically, management has been aimed at enabling the patient to have the best life function for as long as possible, minimizing the distressing symptoms for the patient and family, and supporting family members and other caregivers... 

Medication adherence decreases as the complexity, cost, and duration of the regimen increases, even with supportive families that encourage compliance. 

We advised clients to remain close to supportive family members and friends, structure their time so that they were not overly busy or unoccupied, avoid alcohol and drugs (unless prescribed by their health care provider), and avoid making any sudden, major life changes. Most clients were seen only once, although some did return for additional information. Consequently, the resources available to the client gauged the outcome evaluation piece before and after their visit (s) to the service center. Our priorities were to assess and refer. 

Clearly established goals, strong self-discipline, and an extremely supportive family and employer are essential attributes of successful nontraditional students. Although schools/colleges have expended significant efforts to design and implement user-friendly programs to allow fulltime practitioners to return to school, prospective candidates must approach this process with the same intensity...

I have had the singular good fortune to be blessed with an understanding and supportive family first, my parents, who allowed me the luxury of doing my own thing , and subsequently my wife and children, Katherine, Jonathon and Meredith, who have continued that tradition.
