Sugars enzymatic detection

Thus, many biosensors have been designed for the detection of glucose, lactate, pyruvate, urea, bilirubin, amino acids, sugar and other metabolites. In many cases, ammeter or pH meter measurements for enzymatic electrodes are implemented. [Pg.291]

The response of this QCM glucose biosensor is roughly linear with glucose concentration in the range found in blood (ca. 7 mM). Also, the res nse time is quite short, so that real time detection is possible. These results are especially significant in terms of possible clinical applications. In future communications the response of this biosensor to possible interferents (e.g. other sugars, such as fmctose) and the cttfactors for the enzymatic reaction (i.e. ATP and Mg ) will be reported. [Pg.245]
