C-9/DEC.10 adopted by the Conference of the States Parties at its Ninth Session on 20 November 2004 and entitled Submission of information regarding national programmes related to proteetive purposes, pursuant to Article X, paragraph 4 of the Convention  [Pg.432]

Noting that paragraph 4 of Article X of the Chemical Weapons Convention (hereinafter the Convention ) requires each State Party, for the purposes of increasing the transparency of national programmes related to protective purposes, to provide annually to the Technical Secretariat (hereinafter the Secretariat ) information on its programme, in accordance with procedures to be considered and approved by the Conference of the States Parties (hereinafter the Conference ) pursuant to paragraph 21 (i) of Article Vlll of the Convention  [Pg.432]

Recalling that the First Special Session of the Conference of the States Parties to Review the Operation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (hereinafter the First Review Conference ) reaffirmed the continuing relevance and importance of the provisions of Article X of the Convention, and of the activities of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (hereinafter the Organisation ) in relation to assistance and protection against chemical weapons and that these provisions and activities have gained additional relevance in today s security context (paragraph 7.92 of RC-1/5, dated 9 May 2003)  [Pg.432]

Recalling also that the First Review Conference declared that implementation of the requirement to submit information annually pursuant to paragraph 4 of Article X of the Convention would benefit from an early agreement on the procedures for such submissions, and further re- [Pg.432]
