Mild alkaline hydrolysis cleaved the molecules as shown by the dotted line to give the carboxylic cobactic acids and the neutral cobactins. Acidic hydrolysis resulted in complex fission of the molecule into smaller fragments. No synthetic work in the mycobactin series has been reported, but the structures are based on very extensive degradations. 

PdF4 is the only stable palladium(IV) halide [18] (testimony to the oxidizing nature of palladium(IV)) and is a very moisture-sensitive diamagnetic red solid the structure is based on Pd6F24 hexameric units linked three-dimensionally. It has octahedrally coordinated palladium with two terminal (cis) fluorines and four bridging ones. Despite the absence of other tetra-halides, the complete series of PdX - exist (cf. Ir). 

Compounds consisting of only carbon and hydrogen have the simplest compositions of all organic compounds. These compounds are called hydrocarbons. It is possible to classify the hydrocarbons into four series, based on the characteristic structures of the molecules in each series. These series are known as (1) the alkane series, (2) the alkene series, (3) the alkyne series, and (4) the aromatic series. There are many subdivisions of each series, and it is also possible to have molecules that could be classified as belonging to more than one series. 

Thallium(I) ethoxide has been known for many years, and a series of related alkoxides can be prepared by methods which include Tl + ROH, TIOH + ROH and T120 + ROH.295 The ethoxide,296 and a number of other TIOR compounds,297 are tetrameric in solution, and an X-ray crystallographic study of (T10Me)4 shows that the structure is based on that of cubane,298 with no T1—T1 bonding interactions.
