Stripping limit

Best use is for absorption and stripping. Limited use for organic distillation [156]. 

For establishing thermal stripping limits, the experimental set-up to simulate thermal striping on the horizontal plate has been built including arrangements for cooling of water to about 280 K and heating to about 360 K. 

The required conveyor capacity is used to set the needed conveyor speed. The types of material used in the chain and wear strips limit the maximum conveyor speed. Also, the type of lubrication limits the maximum speed. The way the material is loaded onto and discharged from the conveyor may also limit conveyor speed. Flat-top conveyor chains normally should not run faster than about 300 ft/min. 

The spectator stripping limit is most readily approached when the departing atom has negligible mass, i.e. for C = H. Three examples illustrate alternative ways in which the product rotational alignment can be manifested experimentally. Other examples are listed in Table 2. 

In both of the examples (8), the chemiluminescence is associated with a "parallel transition the positive polarisation ratios found experimentally reflect the expected negative alignment, i.e, a tendency for J j. k However, the ultimate spectator stripping limit was only attained at superthermal collision energies, see Fig. 1 [28]. Despite the low mass of the H atom there is a significant release of orbital motion in the separating products and a clear indication of a preferred non-linear collision geometry.
