String comparison operators

The string comparison operators are furmy two-letter commands. The one used most frequently is eq, for testing whether two strings are the same. Consider this new version of the hello.pl script. 

Perl has a complete set of comparison operators that work on numbers and strings. To compare numbers, use any of the operators shown in Table 17.1. To compare strings, use any of the operators shown in Table 17.2. The numeric comparison operators are straightforward because they look, for the most part, like conventional expressions used in algebra. The big trap is the == operator that is used to test the equality of two numbers. Two equal signs are used instead of just one.

Studies on Orbix (version 2.3 later a transition to a newer version was made) consisted of the analysis of the influence of different hardware architectures on communication in CORBA, the overhead produced by communication operations, a comparison between different modes of data transfer, the applicability of updating methods, and the realization of multicast communication. Synchronous, oneway, deferred synchronous, and the use of the CORBA Event Service for asynchronous communication were investigated. Instead of this exact comparison of parameter fists i.e., comparison of EPVs, the comparison can also be performed at a further reduced level of description, and implemented as a rapid bit-string operation on parameter fists, with bit combinations representing Reduced Parameter Values (RPVs), An indication of the status of these structural features is given by a simple bit combination which indicates whether this feature is obligatorily present, possibly present, or obligatorily absent. 

The most common implementation of keys is as bit strings, with the nth bit indicating whether a key is present or absent in the nth entry in the database (Figure 4).
