Stnicture control

A series of supported-base catalysts has been prepared in recent years, by utilizing the rapid progress made in the construction of mesoporous silicas with unprecedented levels of stnictural control. These materials have been evaluated in a series of base-catalyzed reactions, with impressive results. The variety of different basic structures, and the number of support types and methods available to combine the two components will enable further progress to be made. The constant advances seen in materials chemistry, and continued efforts in synthetic applications, will no doubt lead to many more applications in future. [Pg.347]

Control of the regioselecdvity of VNS is important. It is governed by three major factors the stnicture of the nitroarene the nature of the nucleophile, and the reacdon condidons, especially solvent and base. The different effect of methoxy and hydroxy groups is interesdng the reacdon of Tmethoxy-2,4-dinitrobenzene vdth cbloromethyl phenyl sulfone proceeds in... [Pg.312]

The application of cementitious materials with lower strength than Portland cement is not limited to backfills. They can be used in many application such stnictural fills, insulation and isolation fills, pavement bases, conduit bedding, erosion control, void filling, nuclear facilities and bridge reclamation [3]. [Pg.250]

It should be designed so that functional groups can be selectively incorporated in the stnicture and the pattern of incorporation should be controllable. [Pg.181]

Component A component is any software or equipment that would normally be part-number-controlled at the aircraft level and are applicable to all aircraft systems and associated non-stnictural components including the interfaces with structural components and items consumed by the systems, such as lubrication, fuel, and hydraulic fluid. These part numbers are typically shown on the system or airplane-level installation drawings (ANM-03-117-10, p. 2). [Pg.326]
