Steam system deionization

Clean steam systems are normally constructed of nonrusting (stainless steel) materials and typically use either distilled or deionized water as feed water no additives are allowed to be used due to contact with products. 

Steam system. Clean steam is used for all equipment that comes into contact with containers, solution, or closures prior to product assembly. Pure steam is produced by a generator fed by deionized water. Steam traps are installed to collect condensate when necessary. The quality of pure steam condensate is the same as water for injection. The quality of pure steam is monitored through a quality analyzer system that measures the conductivity of condensed pure steam. 

The wind generator has an output of 90 watts under peak winds and starts producing power at 5 knots of wind. The fuel cell produces 10 kilowatts of electricity along with steam which is used to raise the temperature of the hydrogen storage tanks. A reverse-osmosis water system desalinates water for cabin use and a deionizing filter makes pure water for fuel cell use.

The electrical resistance (ER) technique is an online method of monitoring corrosion rates. It is universally applicable to aU types of corrosive environments, i.e., conductive to poorly or nonconductive media (such as deionized or potable waters) and vapor phase systems (such as steam). 

Soft waters have the least effect on aluminum alloys, in contrast to their effect on iron and copper. Distilled, deionized, and steam condensate are readily handled by aluminum systems.
