Spreading Awareness of Traffic Safety through Web Application 

Access to information on traffic accidents on Slovenian roads is interesting for both experts in the field and the lay pubhc. Appropriate presentation of past events helps increase general awareness of the importance of traffic safety and enables analyses to be performed, which can prove beneficial in the planning of measures necessary to remedy the situation [KIM 96, ELV 08]. 

Since 1994, the Slovenian Police has been collecting the traffic accident data and pubhshing them for the past few years on its official website (Policija). However, no tool has been developed yet, which would enable a pubhcly available visualization
