When the laboratory processes are applied to a strip copper mine, a long plastic pipe with many small holes is spread over the mine and the solution of ferric sulfate is sprayed on the ores. The solution containing cupric sulfate flows down the mine hill, collects in a pool made of acid-resistant concrete, and crude metal copper is obtained from the solution by substitution with metal iron. Besides copper, molybdenum, bismuth, zinc, etc. are leached from the respective ores using the bacterium. However, at present bacterial leaching is not carried out in Japan. 

In Northern Europe, North America and Japan, some kinds of sportsware need to be waterproofed. The treatment is done in dry cleaning machines with a load capacity larger than 30 kg (> 60 lbs). The machines need to be equipped with a special spraying unit, which allows one to spray a solution of waterproofing agent into the cage of the machine. 

It is possible to use chemical methods to depolymerize PS into monomer, which could then be used for making new polystyrene. Some years ago, the Toyo Dynam company in Japan developed a prototype system in which polystyrene foam was groimd and then sprayed with styrene monomer to dissolve the PS and separate it from contaminants, including other plastics and food scraps. The resultant solution was cracked and vaporized in a heated reflux vessel. ... 

The matrix solution was sprayed over the tissue surface using a 0.2-mm nozzle caliber airbrush (Procon Boy FWA Platinum Mr. Hobby, Tokyo, Japan).
