Spin-charge separation

Spin-Charge Separation (Distonic Stabilization of Ion-Radicals)... [Pg.161]

Research on spin-charge separation in distonic ion-radicals has been carried out in recent years with an emphasis on theoretical calculations. Experiments were performed to prove their existence and observe their behavior in a mass spectrometer chamber. The next step is likely to emphasize the synthesis of the distonic ion-radical salts, which could be stable under common conditions. Applications of the salts would be possible in creating magnetic, conductible media and other materials possess practically useful properties. The attractive strength of distonic ion-radicals is that they can enter ionic reactions at the charged site and radical reactions at the radical site. Success in this direction can open a new window in terms of organic reactivity. [Pg.197]

Signatures of Spin-Charge Separation in Double-Quantum-Wire Tunneling... [Pg.129]

AV is the period of the fast oscillations, which would be present even in the absence of spin-charge separation, and AVmodistance between consecutive minima in the oscillation power due to the moire amplitude modulation in the voltage direction. The ratio between these two scales... [Pg.138]

For both systems the temperature dependence of the spin susceptibility is about similar, with a 40% monotonous drop from 300 K to 50 K [37,38]. Clearly, there is no close relation between transport and magnetic properties in the high-7 regime of these salts. This is an experimental illustration of the spin-charge separation concept of one-dimensional conductors. [Pg.418]

What immediately comes out of these equations at the one-loop level is the fact that g (f) is decoupled from the set of couplings (2g2 gi)( ) and Reverting to the expression (21) for the Hamiltonian, this means that long-wavelength charge and spin correlations are decoupled, a key feature of a Luttinger liquid known as spin-charge separation. [Pg.240]

Spin-charge separation is preserved and the singularity at albeit removed for g3 and 2 2 gi, is replaced as by a strong coupling fixed point at... [Pg.241]
