Spectrofluorimetric analysis

Before a sample is analysed, a solvent baseline is recorded by exciting spectrograde n-hexane or cyclohexane at 310 nm, while its fluorescence spectrum is recorded between 320 and 500 nm. Recording a fluorescence spectrum should always start approximately lOnm upscale from the excitation wavelength to prevent the intense Rayleigh-scattered light from impinging on the photomultiplier. [Pg.472]
