Special Ring Closures with Carbon Monoxide

Ring closure reactions proceed under pressure (100 to 300 atm) and at temperatures of 120 to 300 C, preferably between 170 to 280 °C. [Pg.153]

Suitable solvents are aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbons. Cyclic ethers such as tetrahydrofuran or dioxane may be used where the starting materials or the reaction products are highly polar. [Pg.153]
