The planned use of metal hydride gas gap thermal switches in the compressor beds of the Planck sorption cryocoolers [81,86,88] was briefly mentioned in Section... 

Sorption heat pipe can be considered as a cryocooler, applied for deep cooling of sensors down to the triple point of the hydrogen (nitrogen) with cyclic or periodic operation in space. The working fluid can be stored in sorption material of SHP at low pressure.
