Some Mapping Results Obtained with Photographs from the Various Gemini Satellites 

Studying photographs from various Gemini satellites, Dalrymple (1970) drew up an impressive list of cartographic data. We will retain his logical classification, giving some concrete examples and the references necessary for obtaining the plates. 

Tarrbo de Caribos is incorrect. True, in this case the riverbed might have shifted position between 1947 (map) and 1966 (satellite) (Gemini 9 - S-66-3802). 

The comparison maps used for this study are on the scale of 1 1000000 (AMS [Army Map Service], Series 1301). 

The above is merely a small sampling of the studies actually done, and an even tinier part of what could be done. Unluckily, these rather spectacular photographs have been used mainly for advertising or to illustrate wide-circulation publications. Earth scientists who have analyzed them logically are but few and far between.
