Some Characteristics of Acrylic Polymers and Fibers

Most PAN based precursor fibers are made from copolymers, the predominant component of which, however, is acrylonitrile (in most cases 95% by weight). Consequently, most physical properties of the fibers are mainly determined by this highly polar monomer. [Pg.4]
