The Boustead report is comprehensive in its evaluation of the LCAs of paper and plastic bags. The Boustead report was funded by the American Chemical Council Plastics Division. The Boustead report compares LCAs of 1500 plastic bags with 1000 paper bags and 1000 compostable plastic bags.
