Silver Sulphide Staining Test for Checking Structure of a PAN Precursor

7 Silver sulphide staining test for checking structure of a PAN precursor [Pg.662]

About 0.1 g of precursor is subjected to 48 h treatment with H2S in an autoclave at 1.8 MPa pressure and 20°C. The sample is rinsed with water to remove surface H2S and treated for 20 h with O.IN AgNOs at 20°C. The sample is washed with DM water, dried at 40°C and mounted in an ambient cured epoxy system. Cross sections, 0.05-1.0 pm thick, are cut with a microtome and examined with electron microscopy. [Pg.662]
