Silver complexes , ligand-modified

The silver(I) complexes with the tetrakis(methylthio)tetrathiafulvalene ligand have been reported, the nitrate salt presents a 3D structure with an unprecedented 4.16-net porous inorganic layer of silver nitrate,1160 the triflate salt presents a two interwoven polymeric chain structure.1161 The latter behaves as a semiconductor when doped with iodine. With a similar ligand, 2,5-bis-(5,5,-bis(methylthio)-l,3,-dithiol-2 -ylidene)-l,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene, a 3D supramolecular network is constructed via coordination bonds and S"-S contacts. The iodine-doped compound is highly conductive.1162 (Methylthio)methyl-substituted calix[4]arenes have been used as silver-selective chemically modified field effect transistors and as potential extractants for Ag1.1163,1164... 

Ferrocenyldiphosphines 3.41 (R = Me2NCH2CH2) are used as ligands in gold-catalyzed asymmetric aldol reactions of a-isocyanoesters or -amides [408, 752, 858, 950], Silver complexes can also be used with the modified phosphine 3.41 (R = (CH2)5 or (CH g) [951, 952]. 

Bipyridyl has been used to modify silver electrodes to overcome the sluggish response of proteins at the electrodes. Strong SERS is observed both at the oxidation (+0.45 V) and reduction (—0.6 V) potentials, indicating that the ligand remains adsorbed. The spectra observed as a function of potential show the presence of Ag1—bipy complexes, silver metal with adsorbed bipyridyl and, at —1.4 V, bipy -> bipy-.87... 

The chiral titanium complexes modified by the perchlorate or trifluoromethanesulfonate ligand such as (R)-l,l -bi-2,2 -naphthotitanium diperchlorate (BIN0L-Ti(C104)2) or (7 )-l,l -bi-2,2 -naphthotitanium ditriflate ((I )-BINOL-Ti(OTf)2) can easily be prepared by the addition of Silver(I) Perchlorate or Silver(I) Trifluoromethanesulfonate (2 equiv) to BINOL-TiCl2 (eq 2). ...
