Siliqua patula

Of the over one hundred species of clams found in Alaska s waters, the razor clam, Siliqua patula, is generally the most prized and has a very great commercial potential. This clam is found in abundance on many Alaskan beaches, and in the past has been successfully marketed however, due to the unpredictable presence of PSP, its dual use now is as a bait for dungeness crab, and a relatively small consumable commercial market. [Pg.53]
