Silicone polyester , organo

More recent examples of this type of polymerization have involved AB2 type monomers leading to completely aromatic, polyester, organo-metallic and silicone containing hyperbranched systems. In general the final products are substantially more polydispersed than products from the controlled divergent method with branching idealities ranging from 50-75%. [Pg.233]

Formulations for one-shot polyether systems are similar to those used for flexible foams and contain polyether, isocyanate, catalyst, surfactant and water. Trichloroethyl phosphate is also often used as a flame retardant. As with polyesters, diphenylmethane di-isocyanate is usually preferred to TDI because of its lower volatility. Tertiary amines and organo-tin catalysts are used as with the flexible foams but not necessarily in combination. Silicone oil surfactants are again found to be good foam stabilisers. Volatile liquids such as trichlorofluoro-methane have been widely used as supplementary blowing agents and give products of low density and of very low thermal conductivity. [Pg.801]

Bulk properties of coatings can be modified through the introduction of various binding agents [212]. Hydrophobic properties are imparted by organo-silicon, oil-resin, and alkyd binders. Nitrocellulose, vinyl, acrylic, urea, melamine and polyester binders tend to reinforce the hydrophilic properties of the coatings. [Pg.248]
