Short-duration discharge

Nevertheless, excessive noise at the point of discharge may be generated aero-dynamically by a full lift SRV discharging to atmosphere at a maximum emergency flow rate during an occasional upset of the process. As just described, it should be noted that the noise level is usually of short duration. 

A characteristic feature of the carbon modifications obtained by the method developed by us is their fractal structure (Fig. 1), which manifests itself by various geometric forms. In the electrochemical cell used by us, the initiation of the benzene dehydrogenation and polycondensation process is associated with the occurrence of short local discharges at the metal electrode surface. Further development of the chain process may take place spontaneously or accompanied with individual discharges of different duration and intensity, or in arc breakdown mode. The conduction channels that appear in the dielectric medium may be due to the formation of various percolation carbon clusters. 

Alfentanil is a potent short-acting opioid used in anesthesia. Beside its effects on opioid receptors, there is some evidence that it may affect acetylcholine, since intrathecal neostigmine produced a dose-dependent increase in the effect of alfentanil (SEDA-22, 3). Its rapid onset and short duration of action make alfentanil suitable for use in day care, although it is important to treat adverse effects before discharge. 

In this procedure, possible reduction of the adsorbed entities by the discharged hydrogen is ignored. It is further assumed that the hydrogen coverage is not affected by the presence of other surface species, which may not be correct, as discussed earlier. Some desorption of the adsorbed molecules may also occur during the potential variation, despite the short duration of the experiments. With some electrodes, such as Pd, in which hydrogen absorption may take place, further inaccuracies are expected. 

Methane is produced from the coal seam either gradually or as an outburst the latter is, as the name implies, a sudden, violent discharge of short duration, usually accompanied by the displacement of large quantities of broken strata and dust. Fortunately, such outbursts are rare but firedamp (however formed) is a major hazard and, despite improvements in detection and ventilation techniques, dangerous accumulations still occur.
