Shoot-through

Another way of reducing the reverse recovery current shoot-through is simply to ensure that the boost diode is carrying no forward current at the moment when the switch starts to turn ON. The diode then blocks reverse voltage instantly. In other words, running the Boost in DCM or BCM (boundary conduction mode, i.e., at the critical boundary) will produce higher peak currents, but smaller inductors (yes, if r is large, the size of any inductor typically reduces ), and perhaps much better efficiency too, because now, the turn-on crossover loss becomes zero. [Pg.88]

Reverse recovery shoot-through current spike through Q1 occurs if during the preceding td (deadtime) interval the freewheeling current prefers to go through the body diode of Q2 instead of the paralleled Schottky... [Pg.92]

Fitz s head was in a whirl, pain shooting through him in pulses from each of his crippled fingers. Two so far, a double pulse, like the Doctor s. The Doctor The TARDIS I can t tell you any more than you ve seen in there already, can I ... [Pg.68]

To understand how 36 is metabolized, it was fed to bean shoots through the cut ends via a transpiration stream before extraction with methanol and purified after methylation to afford the methyl esters of metabolites 37-39. These were individually isolated, but slowly converted to an equilibrium mixture in a 37/38/39 ratio of 7 6 1 in methanol at 25°C. These findings suggest that the 8 -hydroxylated metabolite 37 is thermodynamically and kinetically more stable than 8 -HOABA. We examined quantitatively the equilibrium ratios and the isomerization rates of 8 -HOABA/PA and 37/38 in aqueous solution buffered at various pHs and temperatures, and discussed the thermodynamic and kinetic characteristics of the isomerization process on the basis of a computer-aided molecular orbital analysis of model compounds in addition to experimental results [90]. [Pg.350]

In monocots, Fe and Zn are taken up as phytosiderophore chelates by YSL transporters in the epidermis. Fe can also be taken up by OsIRTI. Metals move through the symplastic space to the vasculature. The citrate effluxer FRDLl is important for loading of citrate into the xylem and subsequent Fe transport to the shoot through the transpiration stream. YSL transporters also may play a role in unloading the xylem into the shoot and the phloem. Fe is unloaded from the phloem by OsYSL2 and OsIRTI into shoot and seed tissue. [Pg.162]

It is still common that plain radiography is performed and this will show a low obstruction early in the neonatal period (Fig. 13a). A prone lateral shoot through radiograph may be helpful in determining the level of the atresia, and allow assessment of the sacrum (Figs. 13b,c)... [Pg.211]

Filmmaking, from shooting through editing, is a process of expanding and/or collapsing real time. The event needs to be covered with the editor in mind, so that there is enough variety of shots, cutaways, and transitional material to make a creative edit possible. [Pg.72]
