Self-assembled structures polydiacetylene

Polydiacetylene-based conjugated vesicles (PDA vesicles) with alternating ene-yne backbone structures constitute self-assembled nanostructures that produce blue-to-red transitions (Figure 16.8a) under the influence of molecular recognition or surface perturbations. Such self-assembled nanostructures efficiently integrate molecular recognition and signal transduction functions.
