Selecting a Different Title Block

There are several predefined title blocks from which you can choose. In this section we will show how to choose a different title block. In the next section, we will show how to modify an existing title block to create your own custom title block. We will first look at the available title blocks. We will assume that you still have the project open from the previous example. This is a blank schematic, and we can place title blocks in it without worrying about cluttering up a useful schematic. [Pg.49]

To place a title block, select Place and then Title Block from the menus  [Pg.49]

Off-Papa Connector... Hierarchical Block... Hierarchical Port... [Pg.49]

This dialog box lists all of the predefined title blocks and the library in which they reside. If you installed the demo software in the default directory, then the two libraries are  [Pg.49]

A picture of the title block is displayed in the dialog box. The picture of the title block is a bit too small to see all of the details, so we will place it in the schematic. Click the OK button to place the block in the schematic page. The outline of the title block will appear attached to the mouse pointer  [Pg.50]


The title block contains information about you, your company, and the schematic. We will be using the title block to identify the student, class, and university where the schematic was created. There are four ways we can modify the title block. The first way shows how to change the title block for the current schematic. This method must be repeated each time you create a new schematic. The second way shows you how to tell Capture information about yourself that is used in every schematic you create. This could be information such as your name, company, address, and phone number. The third method shows how to select a different title block from a list of available title blocks already created. The fourth method is to create a new title block and save it in a symbol library. [Pg.44]
