SANA study

The beneficial outcomes of systemic bevacizumab therapy for CNV stimulated investigators to administer the drug intravitreally, using a dose that would be therapeutically equivalent to the systemic dose used in the SANA study but approximately 400-fold less overall (about 1.25 mg total dose vs. 5 mg/kg). Although initial studies had not suggested any benefit from bevacizumab, a 1.0-mg intravitreal injection of bevacizumab was administered to a patient with wet AMD poorly responsive to pegaptanib therapy and to another patient with macular edema after central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Both patients demonstrated complete resolution of edema by OCT at 1 week acuity improved from 20/200... 

At first sight, the easiest approach is to fit a set of points near the saddle point to some analytical expression. Derivatives of the fitted function can then be used to locate the saddle point. This method has been well used for small molecules (see Sana, 1981). An accurate fit to a large portion of the potential energy surface is also needed for the study of reaction dynamics by classical or semi-classical trajectory methods. 

H. Diazomethane.— This molecule is of considerable importance as a source of methylene, and there have been several detailed studies recently. Following earlier work on the ground state by Snyder and Basch, Hart, in 1973, carried out calculations using a Gaussian lobe basis set on CHaNj and several of its isomers. A similar study by Leroy and Sana in 1974 also employed an essentially minimal basis set (73/3) and also Pople s 4-31G basis. The bonding and charge distribution were discussed and the enthalpy of formation computed.

The internal temperature of a camel can vary from 34 C to 42 °C in order to adapt to the Sahara s temperature changes—usually from 10 °C to 50 C during the summer. In the desert of southern Tunisia (Tozeur City), a camel s temperature was studied during the day with a Type T thermocouple. However, plant systems present additional problems because of the cell wall.
