Other possible explosive breakdown products include  

Failure to find any of these products in groundwater or soil gas may not necessarily mean that there are no explosives buried at the site but only that the casings have not yet breached. Fuses, initiators, detonators, and blasting caps are often buried separately and may contain different and sometimes hypersensitive compounds such as  

Aluminum powder Antimony sulfide Barium nitrate 

Fulminate of mercury (often mixed 85% with 15% potassium chlorate for blasting caps)
