Role of hazards in injury causation

Interaction between an individttal and a hazard can have various types of outcomes. It cottld be an incideirt which resrtlts in no loss or damage to life and eqiripment or only to property or onfy personal or resrtlt in both personal and property damage. 

This is the interactive process used by an organization to identify hazards, evaluate the risk associated with them, and control the risk to reduce the incidence of injury. 

The process of hazard and risk management in the workplace is a tool available to all people which, when applied correctly, leads to a safer work environment. Through applying the process set out below, the risks associated with hazards can be managed. 

The foitr steps in the management of hazards and their associated risks are  

Some replace the word risk with hazard and include an evaliration step. There are six Es (good) and five Is (bad) of risk control or management engineering, education, encouragement, example, enthusiasm and excellence and impunity, impatience, improvise, impulsive, and impossible (Ted Davies) - the switch from noun to verb to adjective with the Is is deliberate.
