Risk characterisation on grounds of explosivity, oxidising properties and flammability 

When a biocidal product has been classified as Explosive, Oxidising or Flammable according to National or European law, or where there are other grounds for concern through the intrinsic hazards or intended use of the biocidal product, a risk characterisation has to be conducted. As this is not quantitative, risk characterisation usually leads to a condition on the authorization to manage the risk associated with the product. This can result in restricted use of the product e.g.
