The temperature dependence of K can also be taken into account. However, in experiments with ribonuclease films (Nakajima and Scheraga, 1961), the temperature dependence of K did not have much effect on the computed values of and A(S e.. 

Thus, a plot of l/Tm againt c should give a straight line, the slope and intercept of which will give A/fres and A Sre . With ribonuclease films (Nakajima and Scheraga, 1961) the values AHte, = 1700 cal. per mole and A/S = 4.83 e.u. were obtained these are in good agreement with the estimates of Schellman (1955) and the values used here in the illustrative calculations.
