RFDR approach

A single C label at the methyl group of p-xylene was used to estabhsh 13c 13c distances between guest molecules and hosts with naturally abundant C, using the 2D RFDR approach [91]. Other Dianin ICs, with -hexane and n-pentanol guest molecules, have been reported [92]. Eckhardt and coworkers investigated Dianin clathrates containing two ethanol molecules and a heptanol, [93] as well as 1,6 hexanediol, 1,5 pentenediol and 1-heptanol [94]. 

We have successfully applied the fluorine probe approach to the estimation of the F-F distance in the microtubule-bound F2-10-Ac-docetaxel (74, SB-T-30021) using the solid-state magic angle spinning (SS MAS) 19F NMR coupled with the radio frequency driven dipolar recoupling (RFDR) technique in our preliminary study.78... 

An analogous approach has been applied to a number of binary and ternary phosphate glasses, resulting in very insightful quahtative and quantitative information [67-77]. First of all, the observation of crosspeaks in 2D-exchange, RFDR, as well as DQ-ejqjeriments unambiguously reveal the occurrence of Q< >-and Unkages.
