Reverse vending machines

Some of the crush mgand sorting is now done automatically in "reverse vending machines" designed to collect bottles for recycling. 

The labor requirements, and hence cost, for bottle deposit systems can be reduced using automated redemption systems. Reverse vending machines are often used to accept containers, usually designed to print a receipt for the consumer that can be redeemed at the store or other facility.
